1 Channel Relay
5 Volt Operating Voltage
1 Indicator LED
The 1 Channel Relay Module is ideal for Arduino, but it is also suitable for Arduino for other platforms where I/O ports can be set via software.
In all applications where you can use an I/O as an output, you run into the problem that you cannot switch heavy loads with that I/O, applying a relay is the right solution for that, especially if you want to switch loads where many amps are used, such as a heavy motor that quickly consumes 5 amps.
If you do not want to use a mechanical switching element, a mosfet is also suitable for use or possibly the use of a solid state relay.
This 1 channel relay module controls the relays through an optocoupler, so the relay is, as it were, separated from your arduino board or other controller unit.
the module must therefore have its own power supply that is capable of supplying 5 volts DC.
in addition to the 1 channel relay module, there are also more extensive variants of these modules such as the 2 channel, 4 channel, 8 channel and even 16 channel. There is also a 6 channel version but we don't have it.
The 1 channel relay module contains a relay that we also sell separately, so you can build your own 6 channel module. many hobbyists have done this and if you want this and are looking for a schedule, we are happy to help you with that.
1 channel relay module then you can also go to the "Arduino info" page.
