ZIF Socket 16 Pin, Narrow
ZIF socket 16 pin narrow
If you are programming a lot of ICs then using a ZIF socket is extremely easy because with a ZIF socket you don't have to use force to get the IC into a socket for programming.
ZIF stands for "Zero Insertion Force" which roughly translated means "No Input Force". the advantage of this socket is that you don't have to use force to unintentionally bend the pins of your ICs and thus damage them.
You put the lever of this socket in the open position, then you place an IC and you clamp the pins in the ZIF socket with the lever and you can then program your IC
- ZIF Socket
- 16 Pins (for placing ICs up to 16 pins in narrow format)
- For narrow ICs
- Green housing
- Good stable hold
In addition to the ZIF socket 16 pins narrow, we also have the 40 pins and the 28 pins ZIF sockets.
